It's been two days now since I've been able to work out.. Feeling like crap. Should I just wait until I feel better, or just soldier through the "pain" and try and go to the gym for at least a little bit of effort?

Metabolism increases when you're sick.
Normal protein intake increases 30% with a fever/cold (this is just resting and not working out).
So you're doing more harm than good when working out sick.

srs though, i read someone say youre sick from the neck up, lift. If from the neck down, dont lift



For the instance of a cold (neck up), ive also read it can be overall good to do a moderate workout

Only if the symptoms are congestion, and minor stuffiness and nasal drip.

But if you have a fever, regardless of whether it's above/below your neck you're going to go catabolic and lose your gains since protein requirement increases (amongst other macros/micros) with a fever.

I usually lift if its not too severe.. actually seems to make me feel better temporarily. Just make sure you disinfect everything you touch
