Hey guys. I'm about 5'6 and I weigh maybe 105 pounds. I've always been pretty underweight but I want to put on some weight. I go to the gym, but not nearly as often as I'd like to because I get extremely sore for a long time lol.

What can I do to put on some weight? I've heard that there are some protein powders that can help with it but I really don't know what I'm doing

I appreciate any help

eat more, track your calories. download my fitness pal onto your smart phone, and input all the data it asks you, and input all the food you're eating there to hit your calories every day.

starting strength is a good workout program that will allow you to go to the gym and make steady progress weekly and not be too sore all the time. (just google starting strength, or try fuzzy's starting strength variant) i prefer fuzzy's

things you can eat that are high as fuck in calories

mass gainer shakes (buy a mass gainer with low sugar, high carbs/protein, and some fats) read the label, read reviews
in my shake i put
1tbsp coconut oil
2 scoops mass gainer
scoop waxy maize carbs
1oz olive oil
small scoop of oats
a banana
15g ground flax seed
1 square of dark chocolate
2 tbsps of almond butter
and chocolate almond milk

this shake alone takes me ~10 mins to drink, and it has 1,500 calories (around half my days worth of calories)

tuna sandwiches
1 can tuna
4 slices of multigrain
cheddar cheese
mayo
olive oil

make tuna salad with 1oz olive oil in it
grate cheese
put it in the sandwich toaster maker

fkign delicous this one is around 1,200 calories.

peanut butter is a great way to get a ton of calories in.

Eat chicken, rice and veggies 4-5x a day and take a shake with creatine and protein after your workouts

My buddy went from like 140 to a ripped 185 over 3 years and his secret is drinking water with oatmeal powder in it lol

Eat a lot. You could try mass gainers, but just eating more will help. I have the opposite problem, I gain weight very quickly.
