Hey guys,

So my buddy (Who gives me advice meal plans, workout plan, etc) has me on 2-a-days for three to four weeks. I go at 430am (before work) and 330pm (right after work) (Got tired of working 9-5, I switched to 630-330 so I had quiet time before my employees arrived)

What's the real benefit to going twice a day? He's out of town and doesn't have his phone, so I can't really ask him.

Any advice in regards to going twice a day?

What I'm doing right now (per session):
30-50 minutes of strength training
30-60 minutes of cardio

Cardio 7/7 days

Sunday: Legs
Monday: Chest/Back
Tuesday: Cardio/Cardio
Wednesday: Shoulders/Calves
Thursday: Cardio/Cardio
Friday: Arms
Saturday: Rest/Cardio

Thanks guys

Well normally I see 2-a-days run to get the same muscle groups in more than once a week, but idk what's up with this split, just looks really spread out.

So do six days with one rest?

How do you mean? (After saturday night)

That's exactly why I'm curious about it. I start these on Monday, which is why I wanted some advice on it.

Just go 6 days a week, and hit each group twice a week. Like I do:

Monday - Chest / Triceps
Tuesday - Back / Biceps
Wednesday - Legs / Shoulders
Thursday - Chest / Triceps
Friday - Back / Biceps
Saturday - Legs / Shoulders
Sunday - Rest

I do cardio sometimes post workout if I still have juice.

Otherwise I do such limited rest between sets that I keep my heart rate up the entire workout.

I like keeping one of my weekdays for a rest day, in case I end up staying at work late, plus the gym is super dead on Sundays, so I can get whatever I want in.

But thank you, much obliged. I have to do cardio, i'm a big guy trying to lose weight at the same time, so I do my best to ensure I still have some (Which isn't difficult, I'm literally the energizer bunny)

I mean you can shift it around to whatever day to want the rest day. And either do fasted cardio in the morning after waking up, before eating, or right after you're done lifting

My routine as well, works wonders.

I'd follow this and if you really need the cardio, do it before / after. Twice a day is too much.
