Life update 10+ years later?

Still struggling to bench 225lbs but can squat / deadlift 500+ lbs no problem.

Hoping to see Jimmy without kettlebells, etc..

Hi there!

Lifts are still increasing slowly here! Current stats are Squat: 606 / Bench: 396 / Deadlift: 623 all in competition. Next one is in april.

I've been running a powerlifting gym for a little over 5 years now and the plan is to keep improving it.

Nice seeing friendly faces in here!

I haven't touched weights in forever.

I've been working as a producer in the gaming industry for the last several years and I made my own game recently.

Currently on a sabbatical thinking about whether I wanna stay in this industry or find something else.

Pretty significant change in training over the past year compared to the previous 10.

Mid thirties brought a lot change. Still deadlift once every 9-10 days, dunno my max now, maybe 600 on a good day and do 1 day of just weighted pullups and dips. That's the only true weightlifting work I do now.

The rest is high rep kettlebell work with mostly leg focus, almost always EMOM's and a ton of yoga.

I am leaner, fitter and more flexible than ever compared to just lifting weights previously.

Changed why I lift…. Started running and BJJ, so I’m doing weight training to best support those activities.

I’m 183 lbs, so half the man I once was.

Same here Canada bro. I'm down 40 pounds since my peak and it feels fucking amazing being leaner and lighter but only a tiny bit weaker. Mobility and flexibility aren't a guarantee at this age, and a massive drop in quality of life if neglected

Similar, I have carried myself at 210-215 for the past 8 years or so and now coming down to 185-190 feels way better.

very nice is your game on steam or a platform?
have you had the itch to lift weights again?
take your time about this, making a change at our age is pretty significant, i would have gone back to studies to finish an engineering bachelor but the pay makes it hard to do the swap

Yea the free demo of the game is on steam. It's called Athelan Battlegrounds.

If I had money to not have to work, I'd go back to the gym full time. I think about it all the time, but I'm not willing to work full time AND workout.
