I have like 40+ imbues to use but no idea what to use them on. All on ESCNL. So, what would be the best thing(s) to imbue? Wouldn't mind a good grim helm but I don't like my odds on that so looking mainly for profit. Also, imbue question which I couldn't find it in any guide. When finding rares, they sometimes have triple durability. How does that work when imbuing? Is it just a roll, not possible, or does something impact it?

Grim helms are a great imbue choice if your character level is 80 or higher. Exception helmets with the 31 life mods are extremely hard to come by and always valuable.
The only way to get them is hell diablo, lvl 80 imbue, soj and skull roll, or champion/unique urdar drop

Triple durability happens when an exceptional item rolls to be a unique, but no unique fails because it doesnt exist in classic.

When I was playing many ladders ago I was getting the red grim helm mod roughly every 3 imbues

Also consider the rarity of an item drop, some armor and weapon classes have many items, making finding that item by chance much harder and using imbues is a good way to force it.

For example grim scythes are in their own class, so if that weapon class rolls you always get a grim scythe, which is why they drop like aids in CS.

You can get 31+ life helms from Act 2 hell actually. I get them from Fire Eye once in awhile. Anyway, so in other words, triple durability is not possible when imbuing?

Not exceptional rare helmets with 31 life.

You can get magic exceptional and normal rares with the life mod in act 2

Triple durability is quite impossible from imbue, and highly improbable from 0% mf glitch drop runs

Not possible.

Output from Imbue has preset quality: rare - similar to the Ring/Ring/Ring given by Akara [A1Q3] and the Ring/Ring/Ring given by Ormus [A3Q2].
They do not roll for unique or set quality beforehand - hence no chance of failed unique ('tridurare') or failed set (double durability magic).
