A lot seems to have happened in 3 years regarding Windows. I installed Win 7 Home Premium and to my delight Windows Update wasn't working, so I didn't have the Windows .Net Framework or w/e my Nvidia needed, so I literally can't do anything but use the internet right now..

And get this - I used the Microsoft Live support and THREE.... not one, not two, THREE different individuals couldn't figure out the problem. They all just said I should purchase Windows 10 and all my problems should go away...

Anyone here ever have to deal with this? Any solutions? I would post in the computer sub section but it's more dead than roadkill on the side of the 401

e/ First post in 6 months - hello :)

I'm personally not a fan - too many drivers and programs aren't compatible with it.

Thanks, I went out of my way to find this not long ago and install it but I'm still having so many issues... they really don't want people using Windows 7 or probably even 8.1 now (though their support for XP still seems to be on par)

.net framework should be a feature rather than an install I think on w7

Go into programs and then turn on/off windows features should be in there

press windows + r keys
type in cmd
type in sfc /scannow
hit enter
see what happens

if ur positive u didn't mess with anything, just let the update run for a few hours. it could just just be really slow.
