I am in a pickle. I went to Catholic school majority of my life. I have taken my daughter out of the Catholic school I went to. And I am not sure if I should just enroll her into public or a different Catholic school. (The Catholic school I went to has changed over the years and I am not pleased with the staff) with another child on the way, I think it would be the better route of public. Not Columbus public but another public school outside of Columbus.

What are your views on private or public schooling? I know all Is different because of different areas. She can still get the Catholic faith through going to church, etc.

Do not send your kids to religious based schools. Allow them to be their own person instead of indoctrinating them from childhood.........

I've talked about this with my mom a fair amount. For each of us, school was partially a private Christian school and partially public.

Our conclusion has been that the answer totally depends on the quality of the public school. If you don't have a particular reason to avoid a public school, go ahead and send your kids there so they can be exposed to a reasonable amount of reality. But if a public school is bad enough that you feel a need to avoid it, then opt for private.

Her father went to public and was more put together than I was. Sophomore year of high school I changed to public and got into a lot of trouble for exploring outlets. I just have a very limited amount of time to figure out what we want to do. I'm leaning more to public. Just thought it was a good topic to talk bout.

Agreed. I barely go to church since shoved down my throat for 12 years straight.

It is a good topic to talk about, just depends weather the person is willing to learn etc, also you're not a pickle haha :)

Yeah sometimes it's hard when you are forced into it, I'm not Christian or anything I don't go to church but I was never forced to :(
