I need to make a Bath Tub Base for animal grooming.

I so far acquired a free Bath Tub ( i have not taken measurements yet) from a house remodel ( can post pics with measurements in a bit)

I will have this tub Outside and i will figure some make shift plumbing after the base is built ( i already have a hose with hot/cold water just need drain plumbing installed)

The finished tub need to be about 3 3/4 - 4 1/4 feet tall once finished this will help me from bending over i am over 6 feet tall

I have Little to no xp with wood work but i am mechanic by trade as well and have alot of tools already.

i do not know all the tools / products i will need for this project .

i have tryed to google a few d.i.y and im still at lost.

so far i know the base for the tub should be

Made From Wood
Use Screws instead of nails since dogs weight will be shifting alot
some soft of foam is to be used under the tub but idk why or how or what it even is.
i know i will have to use silicone to seal the tub and let it cure for 24hrs

i will need a saw but what kind is best for this project

i just do not want to buy wood and waste my hard earned $$ ..

any help plz <3

A circular saw will be handy for cutting studs and plywood.

Build a carriage to fit the base of the tub. Sounds like you're going utility over aesthetics, so just make it work. Raise that carriage with 4x4's (a typical ceramic tub us going to be really heavy). Make sure to use treated wood, or to seal it before using. I recommend deck screws over typical wood screws, and joist braces at the load bearing angles too.

Just build a crate / table you can put the tub on and then take measurements and you can easily make walls for it to cover it up of you wanted.
