not saying you should do this but having a fake ID prevents taxes on wins

The casino will verify your ID when you register for the tournament.
Most casinos also require you to get a players card as well, its stupid but it is what it is.
As far as taxes, it won't be reported unless you win $1200 or more. And most of the daily $50 tourneys, you won't have to worry about that.
