got a 68 on my first written assignment. Only 2 marks off of a 1st. I know what I should have done to get those marks too... but nvm. Damn good mark for the first piece of written work I've done in years and tutor says I'm on track to get a 1st for the degree.

What do you mean 2 points off of first? Like you got 68 points and some1 got 70 so you were beat by two or that 70 is maximum?

A first class degree is the highest level of degree you can get in the UK. Idk how it works in the US.
