Let me get this straight, Hodor's sole purpose in life was to hold the door for Bran? Hodor had visions or seizures as a child and the phrase "hold the door" mutated into "hodor?" And he repeats his name "hodor" all the time because hes like, what, reminding himself of what his main purpose in life is?

Hodor was a predestination paradox. Connecting to his mind in the present while he was greenseered into the past connected their past and present minds and broke it, making the connection possible in the first place.
