Right now I'm currently using just our providers modem + router. At first it was good, but 6 months down the road its not so good.. So im looking for suggestions on a decent gaming set up.. Id like to keep it under $150. Whats out there?

Anything that isn't a modem/router combo unit.

If Frontier is your ISP (assuming DSL), then you're stuck with a gateway, regardless. What I'd recommend would be to bridge the modem, so that it only acts as a modem, then setup whatever router you want behind it.
