I am a first name basis kind of person, extending to EVERYBODY. If you disagree with calling your parents and grandparents by their first name, I'd like to know why we call them by that title in the first place and not by their real names.

Why is this the case?

Because I know a hundred samanthas but only know one dad

call them sir and ma'am philistine

my mom is virgin mary

Then why do we call our immediate brothers and sisters by their first names?

i find is disrespectful to call my mom/dad by their first name
but thats just me

because of the hierarchy, you are on the same level as your siblings.

I do see the hierarchy and it does make sense, yet I don't believe in it. We are all equals when it really comes down to it. We're all sinners. I put everyone on the same level playing field and do not put anyone on a pedestal.

That being said, I also do not idolize any one person.
