I'm renting a system for an outdoor party for 50-60 people.

I don't have choices really.
2x EV ETX 12P tops
and EV ETX 15SP Subs.

The question is, how many subs should I go for ? 2,3 or 4 ? Coupled in the middle.

Rental cost only 40$ per sub.

60 people .. you don't need a pro system. It sounds like most people in your party may be annoyed, will hardly hear themselves speaking because the music is too loud.

I remember that party where everybody was in a bedroom with closed door because the music was too loud, the host was standing alone in the living room enjoying his pro system lol.

1 sub is more than enough to answer the question.

It's outdoors. It's a dance party. Had a Yorkville PSA2S. Got requests to push it higher.. but it was already peaking.
