Okay, so a lot of issues in the world revolve around power- most countries do not produce enough power for their cities. This causes their country to become scared at night and commit crimes.
The solution is to time travel and destroy the lightbulb!
Sounds crazy? Yeah, well we're not just destroying the lightbulb- we're giving them LEDs
The first lightbulb was recorded to be about 60 watts
Amount of fuel used to generate 1 kWh: Coal = 0.00052 short tons or 1.04 pounds
So 1.04 pounds of Coal produces 16 homes of power for 1 hours (per lightbulb)
Now instead of taking 1.04 pounds of coal to produce 16 homes- take an LED lamp for example- the average high efficiency LED uses 2.17 Watts.
That means that if we were to go back in time, get someone to invent LEDs we would have 460 homes per pound of coal brought up.
Now you might say, wow light isn't the problem you idiot!
Well, you're probably right- but imagine if every home in the world never used incandescent light bulbs.
If you did not know this PEOPLE DIE MAKING INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS.
There is MERCURY in these light bulbs, and the vapor causes death and cancer.
LED production has no harmful components or vapor.
Less deaths, more light, maybe that's all the world needed.
" Improved street lighting can contribute to significantly reduce crime, according to a review published by the Campbell Collaboration. "
" Improved lighting deters potential offenders by increasing the risk that they will be seen or recognized when committing crimes. "
" Better lighting can increase community pride and cohesiveness, leading to a greater willingness to intervene in crime and to report it. "
Less crime
