When I'm at my house, I get 130ms when playing my game but everything in Firefox loads perfectly fast even very busy pages (streams, pages with lots of gifs or pics to load at once).

When I visit my parents, I get 97ms in-game, but pages load slow as fuck. I can barely even browse imgur because single pics take literally like 5 seconds to load (yuck). It's really hard to fap when I'm there because things come in so sporadic.

It's the same computer both places. Any idea why I would get lower latency in games but more lag in browser pages?

just because a connection has a faster ping doesnt mean the connection itself is faster

all a ping represents is the time it takes for a request to reach a destination; that being said most ping packets are VERY small (and they have almost no data overhead) so they will usually travel as fast as the connection will physically allow

if your game runs fine it then implies that there is low data transfer

router / isp settings
wireless interference
name servers / dns settings
