So i got a 4k 55" sony bravia tv and im trying to play d2 on it (fucking nerd right)

but when i start d2 it keeps changing resolution to 800x400 and if thats not shitty enough when i join chat or try to enter games i get unhandled violation c00001 something and it exits me...

Anyone been in this situation beforE?

Download a program that will del windows32 that will fix the problem, I did mine before and it gave me 4k reso

To OP: Are you duplicating the screen on the TV, or extending it? I'd recommend extending and running D2 in windowed mode on the TV.

Ok so now can i play in higher resolution than 800 by 600 if not can I expand my window frame is right now it's only like two thirds the size of my TV screen

This is working as intended

There were mods for diablo 2 that made it run in better resolutions and I think even a hack that made live diablo 2 work in better resolutions (but blizzard patched it IIRC)
