I already want to quit my new job.. When it was presented to me, I thought it would be everything that would I want. Though I don't think I thought enough about it, I was quick to make a decision.
It pays well, but I'm just not passionate about what I'm doing, I thought it would be a lot different. Bottom line... Construction work = not for me. Fuck waking up at 5 AM as well.. :x
Since I was a supervisor at my other job cooking, I'm strongly considering going back, and would be re-hired in a blink of an eye. It pays less.. but at least I had fun doing it.
Would I do a 2 weeks even though I've only been there 2 months?

Yeah, part of me is saying, "you're going to regret making a bit more money"
but the other part of me is saying "but, is it even really worth it if you don't really like it?"

Always , always aaaaaaalways give a notice

I lead helpdesk teams and when im hiring, if I call previous work place and they say he didn't give me 2 weeks notice before leaving I don't even interview the dude.

2 weeks of notice isn't about if you like it or not, or if your happy or not, its to keep a good name for yourself, knowing that if future employers call them, they aint got shit on you. What else could they say but '' He showed promise but didn't like it so he gave 2 weeks notice, and got another job '' this tells me the dude knows what he wants, and hes got good workplace ethics

its only 2 weeks. Over a life time we spend years doing shit we don't like because we have to, dishes for example.

that's just my take on it though, being a manager; not sure if it makes sense to everyone :O

/e cross-line reading fucked me, since you going to a 100% assured job you may be able not to give notice and be ok if you plan on staying there for a while. I have good memory tho I remember little assholes that worked for me 2-3-4 years ago, when someone calls in for references I do remember all the shit they did :P

Is the job hard or easy? if easy, id stick around. if i make good money doing something easy, i can put up with alot.

edit construction. not for everyone. Probably go back, if the money is similar and you enjoyed your old job. it sounds like you were good at it, if they would hire you back. opportunity for growth.

Always at least give a two week notice. (obviously certain situations you can't), but it sounds like that shouldn't be an issue for you.
