Let me clarify before i go on.
I do not believe that people of certain races are inferior. I do not support the actions of groups such as the KKK or Westbourough baptist church or anything of the sort.

I base my opinions and beliefs on experience and observation, as any logical person should. When i was young and naive i used to talk shit about racists not understanding where the prejudices came from. Unfortunately now i understand where those beliefs stem from and i share them. As i walk through the streets of San Francisco i see countless crackheads 90% of which are black all of which are aggressive angry violent people. I see countless black men with their pants to their knees walking up and down the street smoking weed and making loud inappropriate cat calls at women. Ive been robbed twice at knifepoint by black men. Ive been harassed countless times by black men on my way home at night. Even had an irate drugged out homeless guy argue with me and follow me 3 blocks yelling at me when i said "no im sorry i dont keep cash on me" to his request for change. And i dont keep cash on me anymore because of these people. I keep my debit card in my sock now to avoid getting it stolen.

These experiences have led me to air on the side of caution around unfamiliar similar looking black men especially at night. Is this racism? No. This is me taking my experiences into account to try to ensure my own safety and well being.

as a comparison

if you are an animal and in the forest the panther chases you and tries to eat you, you are probably going to avoid the panther when you see it next right? not say " aww it was misunderstood it had a bad childhood."
you just say hey ill just be safe and avoid the danger

same principal for me.

if my experience wasnt so consistent id chalk it up to just people being people but when its over 90% of the time you cant argue that its related to race
you just cant

ill also mention that a very close friend and roommate of mine is a black guy and he is just as racist as me he HATES black people most of the time because of how they are

i could give countless examples proving this point but i think my mini novel here will suffice

TLDR
CSB
Dear Diary
whatever

If you think all people the same because their race you racist ... If you raise a panther and treat it like family ..you wont fear that 1 panther ...If you feed all panthers led ..Sure they will all act crazy.. There is a reason why people act like they do, besides their race...

i said 90% not all
reading is hard

nothing is 100%
but when its the overwhelming majority its hard to give everyone the benefit of the doubt anymore

i assume you mean "but when its over 90% of the time you cant argue that its not related to race"

if you're linking these things causatively to race (i.e. a thought along the line of "inherent to black people is a propensity to be harassing/whatever), and not just correlationally (plus your own biased experiences/perceptions/memories), that's simply racist

call it what you like
its against our most basic survival nature not to respond that way to that type of repeated experience
its also totally illogical to ignore your experience to somehow appease the current trend of political correctness and over sensitivity in our society

you're right, you can't blame people for being racist, that being said you're wrong about everything else

i like to call things by their accepted meaning

surprisingly, it wouldn't even be racist for you to be cautious around black people if you really experienced a high rate of victimization from them

it's racist to assume that there's something inherent to black people that causes this

they arent inferior
but many times behavior is tied to race and culture
its very rare that you see white people act that way
or asians
it happens but usually in conjunction with contact or assimilation of their culture

right

certainly not, at least no scholars in sociology, anthropology, or biology would take this view, assuming any standard usage of the word "tied"

this is simply a fabrication... and your attempt to mask it behind the weasel wording of "many times" does it no good nor adds it any meaning

and culture

so are you proposing that they've chosen some sort of criminal "culture" by their own collective accord?

can you think of some differences between white and black people in our current society that might lead to this?
