You, too, are changing the original equation to something it is not. Of course what you wrote = 9, but that is not the original equation.

omg yes it is...
type that into a calculator n u will get 9 also

The left to right is not true... Am I wrong? multiplication should be done before division, therefore one cannot solve this from left to right.

No, it's always left to right. The other one, BEDMAS, is the same thing, it just has division before multiplication in the acronym, but it's still the same old order of operations. Division and multiplication are treated exactly the same in the order of operations, you just solve for whatever comes first in the equation.

PEMDAS? If so, it = 1.

PEMDAS

Solve for the parentheses. (1+2) = 3. Right? "Yes."
Solve for the exponents. No exponents, so no solving to be done. Right? "Yes."
Solve for the multiplication or division, going from left to right. 6÷2*3 = 9. Right? "I DON'T FUCKING KNOW HELP!!"

In the form of the original question:

6÷2(1+2)
6÷2*3
3*3
=9

When wrote as:

6/2(1+2)

You can interpret it two ways:

6/2(1+2)
6/2*3 (Again, left to right, / = ÷)
3*3
=9

OR

6(FRACTION)2(1+2)
6/(2*3)
6/6
=1

THE CONCLUSION

The question is poorly wrote and would never appear on an exam like that.
The question would VERY CLEARLY be:
6/2(1+2) or 6/(2(1+2))

This still makes the most sense.

idk the way i see it, once you get to 6/2(3) you divide. youve solved inside the parenthesis so now you move from left to right. but i could be wrong.
