What you perceive as racist then is drastically different from the norm though, because people who claim others as racist are willing to debase others in general when that is what they are complaining about. Happens all the time on media.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's fairly mainstream to think that being willing to make a judgment about an individual because of their race is racist.

Except race doesn't include culture. Many races have their own culture, however, this does not mean that all of the individuals associated with that race are effected by it or that because of their race they are being judged but rather because of the culture that their race created and belongs to and exudes. This is my point pretty much.

I think the real question here is, do we refer to them as black or African American.

I think they will think its racist to associate it with american's because black lives matter, therefore its better to call them black. But by doing that you are naming a trait that is associated with their race and even if you don't have malicious intent this makes you racist in the eyes of many (edit: liberals).
