Prince is not over anyone's intelligence which is why he sold 100,000,000 albums. He makes really basic, danceable popmusic that anyone can get into.
If you like it that's fine by me but don't act like he's some highbrow musician when he's clearly not.

Just because it's poppy and easily accessible doesn't mean it's simple. He layered a lot of shit and innovated a lot of shit that is just taken for granted now. Dude played a ridiculous number of instruments and was a Juilliard grad.

I know he was insanely talented but he wasted that talent by making basic synthpop. I'm fully convinced he would shit all over Bonamassa if he had desired to do so.
