Lol I can type up to 173 wpm on shorter texts as I posted and there is nothing wrong with that. It's a legitimate form of typing competition and the best typists in the world do a lot of short ones too. I didn't say I could maintain that speed for several minutes, I can't do that. Max speeds on short texts are still legit though and if you don't think so then I'd love to see you beat me and prove to me how easy it is. It's an impressive feat nonetheless.

oh and not having seen the text before doesn't make that much of a difference. You are reading it in real time

I'm about 175 wpm with decent accuracy. I can go up to 230ish with crappy accuracy, though, depends how lucky I am. I'm also using a shitty keyboard.

230ish would put you in like top 5 fastest typist in the world, yeah, no...

btw I'd love for anyone on jsp to beat my score on typeracer and post a screen shot. Put your money where your fingers are.
