ya pemdas.. parenth exponent multiplication... so parent = 3 no exp 2x3=6 6/6=1...NOOBS

It's because people are interpreting it very badly. This isn't a fraction, this is an equation.

Brackets first. 1+2=3.
Then Divide second. 6/2 = 3.

Then Multiplication. 3(3) = 9?
