So many dumb people here it's unbelievable, just listen to yourselves thinking you're all right, it's quite pathetic.

6/2(1+2) (where 6/2 is a fraction -> 3 it's 3 * 3 = 9)

However, if it's meant as (written in topic title) you're supposed to divide it so it's:

6
---------- = 1
2 (1+2)


2 (1+2) is the same as 2*1 + 2*2 = 2 + 4 = 6

which would give us 6/6 = 1
