If not a gun he could have googled how to make a bomb. or googled something else. If you want to kill a lot of people there are plenty of ways and the information is right at their fingertips. We going to keep banning until we run out of things to ban?

My point is that if someone gets to a mental place where they want to kill a lot of people then they will do so. Pass all the laws you want, it will not stop them.

They wouldn't drop at all. Where does "tougher" gun control stop though ? Are we just talking ARs ? Significantly more people are shot &/or killed by handguns than rifles. Are we going to enable tougher control on those as well ? What about shotguns ? The problem is the government wouldn't stop at extended background checks. They'd want ridiculous waiting periods & registration. Perhaps confiscation is that doesn't work ? Not to get all tin foil hat on you, but it's a slippery slope. Things like more stringent back ground checks, absolutely. However what worries me is this Muslim guy in Orlando was on the damn FBI watch list & they looked into it twice & he still got guns bruh. It's ridiculous

A lot of basic things can be used to make bombs, are we going to set off red flags when people buy normal quantities of these things?

Because as mentioned, someone with the mindset of wanting to kill multiple people will find a way, whether that is building up a supply of explosives over months/years or whatever else.
