Where do you work?

Do u get to use all this lumber for free from work? That would be awesome

I'm helping my neighbors neighbor build a fence . He dunno wtf he doin lol I think building a fence is pretty easy.

Just a random hardware/lumber store.
I get pallet wood free from work, and on my arbor, all of the horizontal rails that form the "ladder" and the ones on the top with the 45 degree cuts were free. They're "risers" to space between paneling shipments to allow forktruck to get in between them.
I had about 30 of them I got free. They're clear pine and they're treated so they worked out great. They're like a 2x3 or something. I was going to use 2x2's but we don't sell treated 2x2's and I don't want non treated wood to sit outside for years.
I bought the 4x4's and the 2x6's, also the random 2x4. It cost me about $54 for those.

Building a fence is easy work, just make sure you get the proper permits for your area before building. If there's any asshole neighbors and they call zoning offices, you'll get a halt order and get yelled at.

One of the sides being built.

The two vertical posts assembled, jumped the gun on that one, would have been impossible to build the "ladders" with it assembled (2x6's + 4x4's) so I had to disassemble it to build the above picture.

The project was started yesterday at 2pm, worked until it was completely black outside @ 10pm, did take a lot of thinking time, but nothing was drawn out for this project. I had no plans to work off of. It was built purely by imagination so things worked their way out as I went along. I built it entirely by myself which added to the time factor.
I had the idea for the project the day before yesterday, 20 minutes before I had to leave work at 9pm. I went out in the lumber yard, gathered what I had imagined I would need, and I ended up getting exactly what I wanted.

That's all for now.
Have a good night folks!

Wow... I don't think anyone would be that much of a dick here

I dunno if it's the same here in Canada.

As long as the neighbor knows about the fence then it's all good. Why should other neighbors be able to report this stuff... Unless its like disturbing em
