You would be surprised by how supportive and accepting people are.

Between curiosity about your situation (though, imho, it's a really common thing anymore) and the fact that it is a really common scenario in the media, in the world, in general now adays, it's not really a socially rejecting thing.
The people who reject transgenders are the people who need to take a second glance at themselves because obviously they have some form of self critique

Not familiar with the show you mentioned, but all trollz aside, there are a ton of people that aren't supporting of transgenders.

/e I'm seeming like I'm riding both sides of the fence, but I'm just speaking objectively, I have friends who are transgendered (admittingly don't have behaviors like Tay, but that's Tay's life whatev), and I am more than supportive over their decisions.
