What's really sad is how people think that 6÷2 and 6/2 are two different things...
Even more when someone argues that x(x), x*x and x•x are different things
I just stopped arguing at that point

6/(2*(1+2))

The last one is unlikely to be written like that, but it's not wrong.

The question is written terrible and will get different answers depending on what you were taught as you were younger. I was taught pemdas, therefore I get 1.

The second one is not wrong, if using a division bar, you evaluate everything under it before dividing the numerator by the denominator.

By using parentheses he is indicating that 6 is divided by 2*(1+2) which evaluates to 6.l

Just throwing extra parentheses in there makes no sense. It changes the equation.
