The 2 is what you use to get rid of the parenthesis. And thats what you do first.
2x1+2x2=6
6/6=1

Okay this is from a program made to do math. My school pays a lot of money so that we can use it. My math teacher (who studied math longer than most of you ever will) uses this from time to time. It's pretty good at doing math, and it is definitely better than us.
