i would consider every other day a drunk as well. no real point to drinking to get drunk. If you do it on your days off and are out with friends, i wouldnt consider you a drunk. do it often enough on work nights, i consider you a drunk.

Don't get so angry because someone tells honest to god truth, if you drink alcohol every single day you're most likely a drunk, there are some days that those 1-3beer a day drinkers prob drink until drunkasfuck, and other days they just 'like the taste of beer' you should check out the guidelines that aa shows people that constitute someone as an alcoholic. One of them is you drink every day, another is if you have EVER blacked out, even once... etc... if you want a test try this -

Just cause you drink a beer a day you're not a drunk but most who drink daily have days that are more serious drinking days and most likely are drunks, just being honest, I'm no angel and I dont drink almost any days but when I do I drink a lot so even though I probably only drink once in 3 months I know I'm a drunk. So don't take offense to honest answers nothing to get mad about here, lol.

I do agree though that if you do drink every day, i would probably lean more towards calling him/her a drunk.

Why would people trust AAs guidelines for determining if you're a drunk...More people thinking their alcoholics means more people attending AA sessions, means more income for AA. It is in their best interest to convince everyone they're alcoholics.
