i would start looking for a car.. if you work you should be able to afford one eyh?
I couldn't disagree more. Some people have things they want. If you can't comply with it you will have to deal with the stress that comes with it or the possible break up.
People who would fit each other like molds break up because they don't have the same ideal in the pace of the relationship...
If that is truly what she wants (4 years is a long time bro) I would focus on getting together with her. Let her know it won't happen too soon. Make sacrifices to get a car and start to learn how to drive.. 30 miles is nothing pansy. I drive more than that to classes every other day during semester...
yeah, i guess this wont be the problem.
i did a quick math about it and it will cost me ~150€ per month to drive this distance every day.
okay, thats not much... but we have to be honest and it will end up with ~250€ per month cause i have to pay some repairs, tax & insurance.
my flat in the city is for sure more expensive, then a flat at the country.
her flat is big enough for both of us, mine isnt it... but her is a bit more expensive then mine. (i pay atm ~480€ all inclusive / she pays around 550€)
so lets do again some quick math:
550/2 (+some extra side costs like water) = 300€ for each of us
so ill end up with 300€ for the flat + 250€ for the car = 550€ per month.
thats more then i actually pay and im 30 miles away from my university and company... and whenever i want to meet my friends at the city, ill have to drive again and again...
for me it would be a positive effect if i would have to pay less if we live together, but i wont and ill have all the negative effects by the country side.
