there's this orange (sealant?) type shit that doesn't look cleanly done between the head and the engine
my friend and the guy that were working on the accord before i bought it aren't really "shop mechanics" by any means

Neither just think people that drive ricers especially manual are fucking tools. You probably also have a monster sticker ready to go into the back windshield.
it's an old family car that i want to put nice parts into and keep the outside/aesthetics stock.. you're hating on me because i have an old honda and assume i'm going to rice it out..
there's nothing wrong with a manual transmission.

Smoking exhaust is normal, my prelude does the same.
smokes above 2500 rpm but otherwise it's fine, something's fucky

Then that's fair logic lol
I just know my first Honda was given to me with 250k and I had no trouble with it for a while
damn, that's actually not bad at all. maybe there's less wear/tear on my car than i thought but it definitely doesn't look pretty.

If you're blowing blue smoke, you've got either bad piston rings or bad valve seats, as the engine is burning oil in the combustion chamber. I used to have a '91 Saturn, and it cost me around $1500 to rebuild the engine after the rings were shot (Early Saturns were notorious for bad piston rings).
i'm pretty sure it's piston rings to be honest. a shop mechanic told me that its blowing blue tinted smoke out the exhaust and numerous people have agreed that's probably the issue.
i'm almost dead set on doing an engine swap so i might hold out on that for now, for now the engine isn't knocking and the oil level has remained pretty stable considering its leak so i'm not super concerned
