honestly, you just have to grow the fuck up and accept that you're lucky to get any amount of time to experience this world, and that when you die, if you contributed to making it somewhat better than it was before, than you've done your job. There is a peaceful/spiritual sense in understanding the world via knowledge/evidence.

A medical journal published by a doctor is essentially the word of a doctor.
