yeah no.... even the Mini balls they were using in the civil war days would blow right through a person, doing more damage then many modern rounds, it's all about shot placement then and now. Do you even know what your talking about?
.69 caliber ball weighs 480 gr. and can be pushed to 1800 FPS with 3400 plus ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle. Trajectory is quite flat out to 140-150 yards and energy at 200 yards is still better than 1000 ft. lbs.
Compare that to a 55 grain .223/5.56 moving at 3K fps but only carrying ~1100 FPE at the muzzle and around 750fpe@ 200 yards.
