just start playing. it's really not that hard once you grasp some of the basic concepts. learning technique just requires some effort (the difficult part is being musical with it). unless of course you have some injury that makes playing difficult. for example i have a hitchhiker's thumb that makes it impossible for me to hold a bar chord properly for any longer than 20 seconds (severe pain around thumb area). so i kinda just naturally drifted to lead guitar and metal music because of it.
