When my mom use to take me shopping in Middleschool\Early highschool, I would only buy plain t-shirts. White, Black, Gray, Pink, Green, Purple, whatever. Just plain T-shirts. I wasn't trying to do anything but have clothes on my back, I wasn't trying to represent or show anything except wear clothes.
I'm still the same today, except I do like the certain look of colors on my body. My closet consists of diff shades of pink, diff shades of blue, gray, black, and white. If I don't wear a plain t-shirt, I wear a shirt with a sports team on it that I like. But the status quo is still the same. At the end of the day I'm just putting clothes on my back, because in society we're told we have to wear clothes out in public. I'm not trying to get anyone to notice me, I'm just conforming to certain norms of society.
