My dad had prostate cancer and after his surgery is somewhat incontinent and has to wear Depends. He seems to have gotten used to it mostly. It still bothers him sometimes but it seems like something you just need to get used to. It hasn't affected his life too significantly and nobody really knows that he wears them unless he tells them.
I dunno how much different it is for someone with IBS (i.e. fecal incontinence instead of urine) so I can't really give too much advice, but I hope this helps and I'm confident you'll learn to live with it. It's certainly not the worst thing in the world
And of course listen to your doctor's advice and research IBS and do what you can to minimize your reliance on diapers
I am sorry to hear that your father had to go through all of that. I truly hope he is alright now, he is very strong to be able to endured what he did. God bless him.
And yes it has helped me some what, any advice posted helps me. I will do my best to try and overcome the odds and take this on full force.
And yes it isn't the worst thing, I try and tell my that sometimes. There are folks in wheel chairs and missing legs. Those folks are very tough mentally and I commend them all for their bravery to endure that life style.
With all of that said, thank you voyaging. You are a really good person and your advice has truly helped.
