In my country criminals generally kill other criminals, spree killers kill innocent people, i dont care if the crime rate rises if the victims are thieves, drug dealers and murderers.
And we banned most dangerous guns in 1990 or so, its been a while.
Hmm... that phrase bothers me.
Aren't all guns "dangerous"? If not, where do you draw the line of a gun being dangerous or not?
Magazine capacity of 10 vs 11? How about 9? I mean, all you need is 1 bullet in the head to do the trick, so why not a single shot pistol with no magazine or wheel? Do double-barrel pistols count as "too dangerous"? How about ballistics? Limit the speed of bullets to 500fps because anything above that might contribute to hearing loss for nearby bystanders?
See where I'm going with this? There's too much of a grey area for a government to decide what is "best" and "safest" for its citizens. By the end (slowly but surely), even slingshots and blow guns will be banned.
