There is no mathematical difference between a division sign and a fraction. They are two different ways of representing the same operation.

it still represents a fraction though

x/y is the same as x÷y

2x1 = 2
2x2 = 4
so
2+4 = 6
now 6/6 =1

simplify parentheses and it simply becomes

6 / 2 * 3

division + multiplication have same precedence, so you go left> right

6/2 = 3
3*3 = 9
