Then you'll have to reword your quote, because perceiving is just the act of observing something using your senses. It has nothing to do with understanding something or committing it to long-term memory.

Says understanding in there. Thats what I am going by.

We cannot perceive something as happening right now if we are going to completely forget it in the future.

Explain if you want to.

Making a thread about something this simple is as comparable as parsing the statement, "I like trees, but can I truly say I like a tree if I forget about it in the future?"

Only other way I can explain it is through an example.

Day 1 you remember you watched TV.  Day 2 using state of the art technology your memory is completely erased and all memories pertaining to Day 1 are completely gone from your body.  Then this means in respect to the person who watched TV on Day 1 it never happened and this person never realized it happened.

Correct.

This is why when a person develops alzheimer's disease, they've already died (in their own reality), as they never will remember the day beyond the day the disease has struck their memory (as a daily event, erasing memory).

Nice thanks. Need a little more support, and I'll check with a couple people irl and then I can go on to prove something else with this. Something that if true will have a lot of impact on sensible people.
