Instant transmission works to a place he can see, or has been before, and is still slower then superman, he needs to make a hand signal to do it, by that time he is already dead.
It has never been said that all saiyans can breath in space, ever, there is numerous plot holes in dbz, this being one of them.
Pre crisis super man is a thousand times the speed of light btw.

Also keep in mind, EVERY SAIYAN ON THE PLANET went out to fight freiza, in space, when bardock yelled at them all to fight against freiza.. they all talked and everything, in SPACE. The entire race has no weaknesses of space flight.. and they don't have supermans pathetic strength "the sun" they could take out the sun and kick supermans powerless ass in 3 seconds

Goku didnt have to be powered down because nothing was challenging to him, superman did.
How do you beat some one that is 100x faster than you and indestructible that can travel through time, there is no way goku could win, period.
How would he be dead before he knew it? he is FASTER than goku, period, cant change that fact.

superman isn't indestructible, try to get your facts straight.. goku is "indestructible" compared to humans, too.. frezia's power level alone, his beams were stronger than throwing the sun at goku
