It's hitting a reef and boosting. The official swell was 12 foot (we measure the back of the wave here) so about 16 foot face (triple overhead).
It was super clean and between sets it was about 6 foot so really manageable the only thing is the long shore current was ridiculous, I paddled 100% and could only stay in the line up about 10 mins before being washed down the beach.
Probably the top 5 waves of my life as far as size goes. Got ragdolled the hardest I've ever had as well, I thought I wasn't coming up.
