Did you not see the proofs?
The reason it's called a proof is because it proves what the answer is
The answer is 9

PEMDAS.

3 is the Parenthesis, times that by 2 because you do multiplication before division, and then divide 6 by 6. Answer is 1. Or Chuck Norris.

Why don't you type it into a scientific calculator and see that you're wrong?
SINCE WHEN THE FUCK YOU DO MULTIPLICATION BEFORE LOL?
You go from left to right... they're the same rank or whatever you wanna call it

What the fuck just happened, it worked before :(

Search for 6/2(1+2) yourself, then.

Google agrees with me.

Pretty sure I'm not wrong, but If I am, I am. But I don't keep a graphing calculator in the house ;) Sorry.

Multiplication and Division is done from LEFT TO RIGHT when Parenthesis and Exponents have been done. Same goes for Addition and Subtraction.

6 ÷ 2 ( 1 + 2 )
Is the same as [ 6 ÷ 2 x ( 1 +2 ) ]

6 ÷ 2 ( 3 )
Is the same as [ 6 ÷ 2 x 3 ]

3 x 3 = 9

See, this is what happens when your teacher is a noob... :'(

Not joking >.> My algebra teacher in highschool. I was her first class. She was 22? And I was her first class. Oh, and did I mention she was actually an english major, but was teaching math because she had no choice? I struggled all through my math in high school because she messed up half the crap she taught me.
