u dont do the brackets then do 2 times 3..2 is outside of the brackets so u go from left to right

Actually, coming up with the answer '1' doesn't make somebody "retarded". The fact that somebody attempted the problem, and was willing to argue/defend his or her answer is evidence toward the opposite.

You're all wrong.

This is the correct way.

Simplify:
6/2(1+2) = 2(3)/2(1+2) = 2(3)/2(3)

multiply by it's conjugate:
2(3)/2(3) * (sqrt(1/7)/sqrt(1/7)) = 2(3)sqrt(1/7)/2(3)sqrt(1/7)

simplify:
2(3) * sqrt(1/7)/2 * 3(sqrt(1/7)) = 3 * sqrt(1/7) * 3 * sqrt(1/7) = 9 * sqrt(1/7)^2

substitute back into original equation:
9 * sqrt(1/7)^2 = 3 * sqrt(x+2)^2, x = -25/7

solve:
y = x, x = -675/7

Therefore, the answer is -675/7
