We replace 2 with x. If we can prove that x = 2 when 6/2(1+x) = 9, we can end this dumbass discussion.
6/2(1+x) = 9
3(1+x) = 9
1+x = 9/3
1+x = 3
x = 3-1
x = 2
Now let's try with 6/2(1+x) = 1. Exact same method.
6/2(1+x) = 1
3 (1+x) = 1
1+x = 1/3
x = 0.333... -1
If you read a few posts up, I have done this with x = 1
