Lightning just doesnt shoot out of anything but the sky. It always follows the easiest path until it either blows something or hits a ground and is cancelled out.

Can we seed a picture of the ceiling damage? I'm not doubting you, but I'm curious what it looks like. Lightning damage photos are fascinating. You guys should see what it does to a human body. People get struck on the head on beaches and it grounds straight down to their feet.
