If a bank confirmed three times that they were going to give me $1000 and gave me $500, I'd set the $500 on fire, walk out, and then brag about it on JSP, obviously.

No wait, I'd remember that I'm an adult and calmly explain to management what happened and end up getting what I wanted with a minute or two of inconvenience. Then again, I'm so good at thinking logically that I'm not a worthless racist, so the advice might not be universally applicable.
