If you've ever been in the car with someone on xanax, it's fucking terrifying. Only one time, and every other time we'd get into a fist fight if he wanted to get in the car. But this was when he was 16.

Like people have said just do what you can to calm things down, leave it, apologize w/e you have to think about yourself, i'd be trying to part ways amicably with most of rest mentioned

I've been a benzo addict myself btw, know what i'm on about a bit maybe ^^

There is only one drug OD situation where the person is absolved of some blame, that is when its cut with something they dont know about. That it.

In any other situation someone sells you drugs and you die its your fault, unless someone sober is around that can stop you from driving a car or something.

Seems like the guy (friend A) is shady, but not to blame. Ditch him and consider yourself free of a shitbag. And above all, dont turn to drugs in your grief.
