Weeellllllll, I mean, it's not that I disagree with you exactly, but I do disagree that it was of any kind of statistical significance or that it was really ever of the same kind, frankly. Chattel slavery, where slaves were considered to be property and families broken up and sold down the river et al. didn't really happen with white people, and white people stopped being slaves pretty quickly in the grand scheme of how long slavery actually lasted in America. It's not that it's not true, but it does kinda try to distract from the fact that there were centuries of very brutal slavery practiced against black people in a way that it just wasn't against white people.
